 TOPIC:                Lunch with Juvenile Court Judge Chantelle Porter

Circuit Court Judge Chantelle Porter is the presiding judge in DuPage County juvenile courtroom 3002 where she hears juvenile delinquency and child welfare cases.

Judge Porter has an extensive juvenile law background - prior to being appointed to the bench, she practiced in juvenile courts at the Public Guardian's office in Cook County, at the DuPage County Public Defender's Office and then in private practice as a partner at A. Traub & Associates.  She has also been a member of the DCFS Children's Justice Task Force, the Illinois Supreme Court Committee on Equity, and the Illinois Court Appointed Special Advocate board.  She has also served in leadership roles for the DuPage County Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association and has been recognized by her peers and colleagues for her work in the legal field.

Judge Porter will talk about her unique perspective on representing minors and families in juvenile cases and now being a judge in a juvenile courtroom in DuPage County.  She will also take questions from attendees regarding her juvenile court experience.
